Dialog Box – Website

I worked as Lead UX and UI Designer for the relaunch of the “Dialog Box” product from ]init[ AG’s. subsidiary company Polidia. The scope of the project was to refresh the existing product and web presence, introduce new functionalities and improve the overall user experience.

The Dialog Box is a product that allows government websites to provide direct civic engagement. The example shows the portal of the city of Frankfurt, where inhabitants can log in and report issues that they discover, like traffic problems or construction sites, so that the city can provide better service. For my client, it was extremely important to create an intuitive interface, where it would be easy for the user to get a quick overview of their account, comments, and track the status of their reported issues, even on the go.

I ended up proposing a cascading grid design, a tag system, the usage of different colours to differentiate the status of issues, and provided a clean and simple interface on desktop and mobile.
