On the Sunny Side

While visiting New York City for the first time in September 2019, I was wandering around in Central Park. At some point I heard some jazz music and decided to follow that soothing sound; the musicians were playing so nicely. I sat down and enjoyed the atmosphere, and then I started sketching. When the musicians offered to play something suggested by the audience, I asked for “On The Sunny Side of the Street,” which is my favourite swing jazz piece. Months later I have decided to develop that sketch, and this artwork is the result of that wonderful memory. Guess what happens if you play the notes!
